As a part of our ongoing commitment to find innovative ways to reduce costs and improve financial outcomes for our clients and members, Luminare Health is excited to introduce our new Medical Rebate Program. This program is designed to help clients maximize savings on eligible medical expenses.
How Does it Work?
Through a new partnership, we can now offer enhanced rebate opportunities for certain medications filled via the medical benefit. These medical rebates are payments made by drug manufacturers based on the utilization of specific medications, which help reduce the overall cost for Luminare Health clients.
The rebates will be paid to clients quarterly. Payments from a drug manufacturer can be paid as late as 180 days at the end of a quarter. A portion of the rebates will be retained as an administrative fee, allowing us to manage the program efficiently, advocate for competitive rebate opportunities, and provide clients with seamless access to savings.
For our clients that elect and pay for aggregate coverage, stop loss carriers may assume rebate dollars to reduce the aggregate claims that are filed. This is the same process for medical rebates as it is with prescription rebates.
