With this plan, you’ll receive most healthcare virtually–creating an easier experience while helping you save money. This virtual care includes your doctor visits, wellness and prevention, non-emergency urgent care, specialty care, mental healthcare, and more.
The inclusion of the BCBSIL network in this plan means that you are not restricted to only virtual care with this plan. However, you will pay less for care when you receive a referral for in-person care through your Teladoc Health primary care provider. Dependents under age 18 must get care from participating BCBSIL in-person providers, and their care will be at a lower out-of-pocket cost.

Copays and Costs
The BCBSIL myVirtualCare Access plan has two tiers:
Tier 1 (BEST SAVINGS): Applies when you use Teladoc Health virtual care services OR your Teladoc Health virtual primary care doctor refers you in-person to in-network providers, including certain Walgreens Health Partner providers and other BCBSIL network providers.
Tier 2: Applies when you go directly to an in-person provider in the BCBSIL network without a referral from your Teladoc Health virtual primary care doctor.

- Dependents under the age of 18 are required to see an in-person provider. All their care will be covered at tier 1, no referral needed. Care received from their in-person pediatrician will be $0 copay, and all other in-person care received (labs, specialists, etc.) will be covered according to tier 1 benefits.

How You Get Care and Connect with Your Doctor
Plan participants will select a Teladoc virtual primary care doctor (PCP) and connect with them via phone or video, rather than in-person.
Your virtual PCP is where you start for all non-emergency care. When you need in-person care, your Teladoc virtual PCP will give you a referral to in-network in-person providers and help coordinate your care. In-person care without a referral is available but will result in higher out-of-pocket costs. And remember: Most Walgreens medical plans do not cover out-of-network services except in emergencies, so it’s important to check if your provider is in-network.
Selecting your provider is easy. After you enroll and your coverage is effective, you can filter doctors within the Teladoc app or Teladoc portal based on gender, language spoken, specialties, and more. Before making your choice, you can view a doctor’s profile. You have the option to change doctors in the future if you want.

Unlimited Care Team Access
With the BCBSIL myVirtualCare Access Plan, you are assigned a dedicated Care Team upon your first visit with your Teladoc PCP. Your Care Team can help schedule any needed in-person care with an in-network BCBSIL provider, send you reminders, answer any questions, and work with your doctor to help develop a care plan to improve your overall health.
You have unlimited access to your Care Team. They are available to support you and your health between visits with your PCP.
With an expert Care Team on your side, you will have a clear direction for your health. They will help you know exactly what to do after each visit with your PCP and can offer you support at every step of your care journey.

Services and Support Included in the Plan

Low Out-of-Pocket Cost to You
The BCBSIL myVirtualCare Access Plan offers lower out-of-pocket costs than a typical “in-person” plan and includes all the additional services listed above at no out-of-pocket cost to you.
If you select The BCBSIL myVirtualCare Access Plan, you aren’t required to see a doctor virtually. But if you don’t use your virtual PCP, you will have a deductible to meet, higher out-of-pocket costs, and you will lose access to your Care Team.
